Employment opportunities at Colloquium Bookstores-San Marcos

We do most of our hiring at the beginning and end of each semester.  Most new employees are hired as part time sales associates, to include salesclerks, stockers, and cashiers.  Colloquium Bookstore has been in business since 1963 and offers competitive wages, a flexible work schedule, employee discounts and more.  Once you submit your application, we will contact you for an interview, if the information you provide matches our needs. 

We have several part time sales associate positions available to start in the next few weeks.  These positions allow for more flexibility and we will work around your class schedule. When applying for these positions you must include the required scheduling information below.

Currently accepting applications for the following positions:

1. Part Time Sales Associates in the Textbook department at all locations to assist with buyback, receiving, set up and sales. No experience necessary.

2. Temporary Part Time Cashiers to assist with summer back-to-class rush periods. Experience preferred.

3. Part Time Sales Associates in the General Merchandise department at our University Drive location. Preference will be given to applicants with the following qualifications:

Texas State students majoring/minoring in Art or related field preferred.
Background or knowledge of artists materials REQUIRED.
Retail experience helpful, but not required.
Must be available to work weekends in rotation.

When you hit the "Click to Apply" button below you will be taken to our corporate site to fill out our application.  There will be a place to attach your resume, so go ahead and do that, however, also include a detailed listing of your scheduling information as requested below.  Since you will only be able to insert one attachment, your scheduling will need to be a part of your resume all within one document.  Attachments should be done as a "MS Word" document and prepared before beginning the application process.  You will need to include all of the following scheduling information:

  1. 2010 Summer II class schedule [through August 12]
  2. 2010 summer vacation schedule or any significant time you feel you will need off during the summer
  3. 2010 Fall class schedule [starting August 25]

Important Note:   Your application cannot be considered without all of your scheduling information attached.
